My 1963 Sunbeam Rapier Series 3a was restored by well known Rootes specialist Ken Sparkes of A1 Vintage and Classic Restorations during his personal ownership between 2007 and 2013. During the restoration it was painted as a replica works Rally car and fitted with many period pieces which will come with the car.
I bought the car in 2015 and have enjoyed driving it and improving its condition with work carried out on the cylinder head with new exhaust valve seats and some new valves, new phosphor bronze valve guide inserts, original rear bumper and other small items re-chromed, clutch thrust bearing replaced, new battery fitted, and a full service carried out recently.
The car is fully serviceable, currently taxed and in use having gained a new MoT with no advisories until March 2018.
A Rapier that will provide a stunning looking vehicle for pleasure drives to any new owner.
Reluctant sale due to arrival of yet another project car taking up a lot of my time.
My current membership to the SRO can be transferred to any new owner.
