Beschreibung
1929 Austin 7 AD Tourer ‘Chummy’. Maroon and black, with black upholstery. A very original restored example with factory fitted coil ignition. Very reliable, having during the past 18 months been used extensively for local club events and including several trouble free 100 – 200 mile journeys, including the recent 2009 Austin 7 ‘London to Brighton’ run, Amy starts first time on the handle (to save the 1 year old battery, although the starter works well). Work over the past 18 months of my ownership includes: adjustment of steering; overhaul of the original bronze 22 FZ Zenith carburettor; fitting new oil filled coil into the pre-war coil canister; rebuilding bacon slicer starter motor and dynamo; overhaul of original Lucas 30G vacuum wiper motor and replacement of vacuum tube; relining rear brakes and rebushing handbrake pivot. Amy also has the original Rist horn, scuttle mounted Lucas headlights with correct diffuser glass, period radiator calorimeter (not a reproduction) and is in very good rustfree and useable condition throughout. She is only being sold due to our impending emigration, otherwise she would have remained in my possession. Good interior, upholstery, hood and clean sidescreens, and sold with a car cover and hood net. Fully taxed and MOT’d for 12 months from May. Can deliver (free) within reasonable distance.
