Ducati 748S Review:-
The Ducati Superbike 748s was packed with features normally found only on full race bikes. The fully adjustable Showa forks with TiN anti-friction treatment were matched with a rising rate rear suspension with damping handled by a fully adjustable Showa rear shock. The exclusive Ducati adjustable rake trellis frame allows you to customize the handling of the 748s to your riding style. Lightweight Marchesini wheels are an expensive accessory on most other bikes, but were standard on the S version. Quick release Dzus fairing fasteners and lighter 5mm front brake discs with aluminium carriers further define the 748s.
For 2002 (the last production year for the 748), the 748s was available in Ducati's most radical colours: titanium grey with red wheels.
Ever since Ducati officially partnered with the estate of Ayrton Senna for the 916 Senna and established the distinctive grey body on red wheels paint livery, Ducati fans have been adding the Senna name to any bike that came from the factory in similar colours.
As confirmed in Ian Falloon's book Catalogue of Ducati Motorcycles just 30 of these Grey models were made for the UK, all exclusively for the 2002 model year.
