Land Rover Series Three County Station Wagon 3. 9 Rover V8 and overdrive. S. W. B. 88
Fully refurbished and recommissioned, fully serviced with full MOT.
Bought as an unfinished project, this car has had a lot of money spent on it before I even bought it . It has been repainted in British racing green and all the doors replaced. The tired cloth trim has been retrimmed in black vinyl.
The car is a genuine County but would now be best described as just a station wagon due to the cloth trim being replaced and the 3. 9 Rover V8 on rebuilt twin SU Carbs.
The car is now a very tidy daily drive, and a fine example of a rare Classic Land Rover. New 7. 50 x 16 MIchelin tyres are now fitted on white ivory heavy duty Wolf rIms.
Everything I could find that needed replacing or sorting out has been completed with exception of the front mud flaps which I still need to fit.
All chassis and bulkhead welding has been done professionally, however most of the chassis was very solid and original and is now painted satin black. The list of work that has been carried out and parts fitted are as follows:
1. Full Service including filters, plugs, H/ T lead set and transmission oils
2. New flame traps and K&N air filters cleaned
3. All new copper brake pipes fitted
4. New brake master cylinder (dual circuit)
5. All brakes checked and serviced
6. All new WIPAC lights kit fitted
7. New reflectors fitted
8. New coolant hoses and clips
9. New washer bottle and pump
10. New electric fan and wiring
11. New ignition lock
12. New wiper switch knob
13. New Lucas indicator stalk
14. New Land Rover choke cable
15. New wiper blades
16. Lower dash removed and professionally retrimmed in exact vinyl match
17. New radiator and header tank caps
18. New number plates
19. New door latches and key barrels
20. Stainless steel hinge bolts fitted
21. New Exmoor trim door trims front and rear
22. Radiator panel removed and repainted with a new repair panel
23. Replaced rear mud flaps
24. New front mud flaps (to be fitted)
25. Rear chassis and member replaced
26. Both front dumb irons replaced
27. Both bulkheads footwells replaced
28. Correct exhaust manifolds and exhaust system fitted with new gaskets etc.
29. All new rubber mats fitted, fairey overdrive and fairey free wheel fitted
30. New rear springs, shock absorbers and axle straps fitted
