1988 mk1 nova merit saloon 6 mths mot 44000 miles from new 99% of old mot s some history ill start with the
BODYWORK
the exterior is in v clean condition in glacier white with just a few age related marks (there is evidence of a little paintwork on the front end NOT CRASH DAMAGE nothing drastic) all panels are straight no dinks or dents panel gaps are true bottoms of the doors are rust free boot lid bonnet are the same the front and rear valance are mint o/ s/ r sill is solid worst bit would be the n/ s/ r sill bottom corner is just showing signs of wear n tear again nothing drastic structural etc
INTERIOR
gray cloth with the rainbow pattern inlay i removed everything in the car and aquavaced and steam cleaned the upholstery which came up looking like new the carpets are as new fitted with vauxhall mats front and rear door panels are gray vinyl with no marks dashboard is free of marks cracks etc
ENGINE GEARBOX CLUTCH WHEELS
the 1. 2 ohc engine runs sweet and silent pulls strong just had a full service its had a cam belt at 40k (7 years ago) ive inspected this and i can see no problems due to age wear etc so i didnt change this its not a big job if your paranoid the age of the belt and want to change it the gearbox is a 4 speed no bearing noises wheering grinding etc the clutch is light bites were it should no slip drag etc 4x 145/ 80/ 13 new tyres fitted
UNDERSIDE FLOOR CHASSIS
has never been welded repaired due to having gallons of finnigan's waxoyl applied from new (ive scraped a little off in key areas and there's just white paint !!
