Here for sale is a very low mileage 1996 Renault Clio 1. 4RT MK1 Phase 3 model finished in NV783 Rouge Nacre(Naples Red) with an immaculate unmarked interior (especially the rear) in Cendre.
This car was made in May 1996 and registered in August 1996.
At this moment in time it only has 21916 miles and has only covered 164 miles since the last MOT.
The current MOT runs out on the 28th September 2017.
Clio was bought from an old lady as a rolling restoration project, but time constraints and a lack of use, means we are reluctantly offering it up for sale.
The car was bought with very little documented previous history(only the then current MOT certificate), and was always previously serviced at a local Renault Dealer and the parts we have removed so far back this up.
Since ownership the Air Filter and Spark Plugs(NGK) were changed last summer(21, 743).
The bonnet safety strap was one of the first parts to be changed at the same time but has snapped again(genuine part) as it is very delicate part and does not stand up to a lot of abuse.
Other parts which have been changed since are the Timing Belt Kit(Gates belt with INA mechanicals) and the Water Pump also as it runs in the timing circuit as well. The parts were changed as a preventative measure as we didn't know when they were previously done(the old parts are available for inspection as well). Mileage when changed was 21, 772 on 17/ 2/ 17.
After changing them the engine radiator fan motor was found to have seized as this was changed earlier this year as well, mileage 21, 840 on 26/ 2/ 17.
Recently(at 21, 914) all the wiper blades have been changed, complete new units on the front, and a new wiper refill on the rear.
The Renault itself is in pretty good condition for its year and having an old lady owner prior to us.
There are a couple of marks on both of the bumpers and would be easily fixed.
The original Blaupunkt stereo worked as far as we know prior to having the battery replaced, with a Halfords one, but the original radio code has been lost. The code is available from Blaupunkt for a few pounds, but we haven't found out what the code was, as we were planning to buy a new Radio/ CD player instead and have kept the Radio/ Cassette player so far for originality.
I have taken the serial number from the unit to save it being taken out again.
The sunroof works okay as well (as documented in pictures).
The spare wheel is under the car, the trolley jack is under the bonnet, and the handle is in the boot.
Both sets of keys will come with the car.
We also have a copy of the previous owner logbook.
The original owners handbook is missing but there are some other Renault books in the glove box as well.
The original mats are still in the car too, believed to be genuine(front and rear).
With some research I have found a lot of the previous MOT documenting the very low usage.

For sale separately are a collection of new front and rear brakes(Discs, Pads, front and rear brake fitting kits, Shoes and Cylinders) with the correct variations purchased along with some service items too.
After a lot of searching we also managed to find a mint pair of genuine Renault front fog lamp trims as well, as they are now obsolete from Renault themselves.
There is also a new Haynes Renault Clio manual available as well along with an original sales brochure as well.
