Beschreibung
A very fine example of a Wolseley Eight four-door saloon, a 1948 model.
The Wolseley 8 having a two year production run – 1946 to 1948 – with its 918 cc ohv engine producing 33bhp.
The Wolseley 8 was the most powerful (and only OHV) post-war 8 HP car, giving a good, leisurely and remarkably comfortable ride and performance.
This Wolseley 8 began its life from new in New Zealand – the Wolseley returned to UK in 2016.
Finished in its original black paintwork, superb brown leather trim with wood dashboard, complete with an operational sliding sunroof.
Now running and driving very well since a very recent overhaul of brakes and steering - new correct cross-ply tyres recently fitted – water pump recently reconditioned with stainless steel components - rear/ brake lighting updated with two n. o. s. Lucas ST51 rear ‘D’ lamps.
Although MoT test exempt, the Wolseley has a current MoT certificate.
