We brought this TR4 back from LosAngeles, California where it had been in storage for many years, and have subsequently done a bunch of work to it to make it a nice TR4. We did a minor rebuild on the engine doing new rings, bearings, oil pump, valve guides and a valve grind to make it a strong running engine. We also did new coolant hoses, heater valve, rad duct, generator and regulator, fuel pump, coil, minor carb rebuild, and a new complete stainless-steel exhaust system. Both transmission and rear end were in good shape so we only had to install new seals in both units. All brakes and hydraulics were also replaced with new clutch and brake master cylinders, wheel cylinders, all rubber hoses, slave cylinder, and new brake pads and shoes. The suspension was also all redone with a new front end rebuild kit, shocks, ball joints, steering rack boots, and tie rod ends. We also added a set of recently redone sixty spoke wire wheels with nearly new tires. Being a southern California car meant that the body was in great condition without the rust issues that plague most vintage British cars, however the paint does have flaws and is not perfect but it is certainly presentable. Being a 50 year old plus car in California meant that the interior was in rough shape so we replaced pretty much all of it. We installed a new Moss seat kit, Moss interior panel kit, carpet kit, a new Robbins top, door seals, and new vintage style seatbelts. The dash area was also freshened up with a refinished dashboard, new padded dash pad components, new dash knob set, a rebuilt speedometer and tachometer, choke speedo and tach cables, and leather shift knob. This is a very nice driving and looking TR4 that is ready to use. If you don't like rust, here is your car.
