The first Hudson left the factory on July 8, 1909, and became a huge succes with the record sales in the car industry of 4, 000 pieces during the starting year. In 1916 the company sold more sedans than Ford or Chevrolet. From 1916 - 1929, the "Super Six", with a 6 cylinder, 4. 7L engine, was Hudson's most prominent model. The Super Six was an elegant and easy to handle Hudson model, a much desired car during those days. Tghe original price in 1924 was $1. 500,- The Touring or Phaeton models are rare.
