For sale is this lovely 1964 Thunderbird
As can be seen from the pictures she is in great condition and good running order .
Engine and Frame numbers are matching .
The only major modification has been fitment of a Boyer digital ignition system which makes starting simple and is nicely tucked away under the petrol tank .
The Thunderbird rides well with plenty of torque and the engine is notably smooth compared to some other parallel twins . Looking at the paperwork with the bike she has not been used much recently so would benefit from some regular runs .
Negative points .. Rear Dunlop TT is a little aged but with good tread ( looks the part though! ) , Rims are not mint but no rust . Couple of marks on the "bathtub" no doubt due to fitting trauma !
Great alternative to a 60's Bonny as you get all the benefits without the numb fingers and the endless carb adjustments
