There's just something incredibly compelling about Italian motorcycles. Whether it be a Ducati Monster, an Aprilia RSV4 or a Moto Guzzi Sport 1100, like this rather lovely machine, they certainly get the juices flowing and remain particularly evocative beasts in the world of motorbikes.
The oldest continuous European motorcycle manufacturer, Moto Guzzi has been around since 1921 and is recognised for its commanding role in the Italian motorbike world. Prominent in racing and renowned for its industry innovations, the Italian manufacturer has earned respect the world over.
Noted for its air-cooled 90° V-twin engines, like that featured in this 2003 Moto Guzzi Sport V11, the company has produced some highly desirable machines over the years and continues to be a favourite among classic motorbike enthusiasts.
Despite being a modern machine the Guzzi has a classic, timeless aesthetic harking back to the golden age of motrocycling and this particular example has been fully customised with many quality parts.
Fully stripped down and lovingly rebuilt to more closely resemble the Mk1 Le Mans bikes, it scream '60s Italian racer but retains all of the trick modern parts found on the V11. Featured in the November/December 2017 issue of Gambalunga – the official Moto Guzzi Club magazine which is included in the documentation – you can read all about the build and get up to speed on the ins and outs of this beautiful build but suffice to say it's a beautiful bike that is reportedly fantastic to ride.image.png5.21 MB
