Description
Rolls-Royce Derby Phantom I (New Phantom 40/ 50) of 1929 ordered in long-wheelbase by a certain Miss Watson in December 1928 and sent to coachbuilder Hooper in January 1929 for completion to the customer’s specification. The Phantom was the flagship model of the famous British manufacturer, nicknamed 'the best car in the world'.
Coachbuilt in Open Tourer form, a four-door drophead sometimes referred to as a Torpedo. Displacement 7. 7 litres (six-cylinder inline) with an aluminium cylinder head.
Cream-white and black with deep red Connolly leather upholstery. Very fine finishes, supplied by the finest craftsmen. Wood trim (dash, door tops, storage/ bar in the rear compartment) in walnut.
Michelin tyres 21 inches. Long-range lights. Lucas headlamps. Rear boot. Side-screens (side protection screens).
The car is very sound (it underwent a thorough restoration about fifteen years ago) and remains in very good overall condition.
In addition, it has just undergone a major overhaul of the engine, brakes, suspension and carburettor for around €9, 000 and runs very well. A video of the engine running is available on request.

Delivery at cost price throughout metropolitan France, the Benelux and Germany by a specialist carrier (the car measures 5. 50 m and weighs 2. 4 t).
