The Steadman TS100 is a beautiful and elegant sports car, based on the legendary and famous Jaguar SS100. In the 1950s, Bill Steadman was one of the owners of a Jaguar SS100, and years later he wanted to create something new while retaining the graceful, balanced lines of this iconic car. The Steadman TS100 was created at his own Ottercradt company in Cornwall. The base was a Jaguar XJ6 with a 245 bhp high-compression 6-cylinder engine. The design is strikingly similar to that of the original SS100 with familiar features such as the long bonnet, large headlights and flowing lines. The result is a very usable classic car with sublime handling and perfect performance. This Steadman TS100 is very special and unique. Of the 28 examples produced, there are only three left-hand drive versions, including this one. It was sold in Belgium in 1994 with just 36, 000 km on the clock, and was kept dry for 27 years before being fully inspected and registered in 2022. The odometer now stands at just over 37, 000 km and the car is registered in the Netherlands. This magnificent Steadman TS100 is still in very good condition. The elegant and sporty Carmen Red colour combines beautifully with the black leather interior. Apart from a few minor signs of wear, the all-aluminium bodywork is in exceptionally good condition. The same applies to the various chrome parts and trim on this classic roadster. The body parts fit together well. The elegant 15" chrome-spoke wheels give the car an extra touch of style. The soft top is also in very good condition and this also applies to the existing tonneau cover. The interior is also still in exceptionally good condition. The black leather bucket seats are firm, perfect for a wonderful sporty drive. The steering wheel also sits well in the hand and, thanks to the power steering, the ride is particularly comfortable. The dashboard is in very good condition and all the instruments work properly. The windscreen can be folded down to make both windscreens more visible. This Steadman TS100 is without doubt a particularly great driving car. The 4. 2 6-cylinder engine works exceptionally well and has enough power for both comfortable and sporty driving. The power-assisted disc brakes all round seem reliable and robust. In 2022, the brake calipers, discs and pads were completely renewed and new tyres were fitted too.
