Description
This XJ 12 coupé was registered on 12 May 1977. It is in exceptional condition. Its last owner acquired it in 1998 and undertook a complete, high-quality restoration that lasted four years by a recognised specialist in this model. The bodywork was completely treated and repainted. The engine and gearbox were completely rebuilt, as was the woodwork. The upholstery remains original and its patina adds incredible charm to the car, bearing witness to its almost fifty years of age. All in all, the car runs perfectly. Its comfort, silence and handling are astonishing. A thick file underlines the seriousness of the work that has been carried out, allowing this coupé to be used today with total pleasure, enjoying a V12 engine in almost new condition. This is probably one of the finest and most interesting examples to have survived, and can be viewed by appointment at Hervé Chauvin Collection in Fontainebleau.
