Volkswagen Golf 1. 5 GL in incredible condition with 51, 075 km. Intact and completely original! Bought new by the last owner's mother, it has therefore remained in one family for no less than 42 years. With a full service history including all logbooks, numerous service invoices and MOT forms. Almost impossible to find in such rusty condition. It has just undergone a complete overhaul, including a new timing belt, and a new roadworthiness test. The GL was ordered new with several interesting options such as automatic transmission, green heat-reflecting glass, laminated windscreen and metallic paint. It wasn't a bargain at the time, but it was qualitatively the best car in its class. The doors closed like a safe and the stitching was perfect. Today, it's still a car that's a little worn. Much of it is in its original paintwork. The past is undamaged, there's no rust and there are virtually no signs of use. The exterior is incredible and the car looks 5 years old instead of 42. The wheels still have their original chrome hubcaps.
The interior is completely original and practically as new. A beautiful time capsule. The magnificent seats are covered with the original upholstery and everything is in one piece. The dashboard is scratch free and all the gauges work as they should, including the Philips radio. The headlining, rear seat and luggage cover are also intact, after 42 years.
