VEHICLE HISTORY Porsche built the first Porsche Spyder 718-RSK model in 1957 to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 718 was an evolution of the famous Porsche 550A, with improvements made to the bodywork and suspension. The car's full name was 718 RSK, where 'RS' stands for RennSport (sport-racing) and the K reflects the shape of the revised torsion-bar suspension. It was mid-engined and used the 142bhp 1. 5-litre Type 547/ 3 four-overhead cam, air-cooled engine introduced on the 550A Spyder. These cars raced until 1964, taking part in numerous races, including Formula 1, winning the European Hill Climb Championship and the Targa Florio. Famous drivers who raced in these iconic cars include Sir Stirling Moss, Graham Hill, Dan Gurney and Edgar Barth. The car is being sold with an up-to-date service and warranty.
