Description
Magnificent 1958 TRIUMPH TR6B, strictly concours condition, matching numbers (013917). The bike has undergone a total restoration to original condition (including the orange-red and gold-white colour scheme) and to a very high standard by a specialist renowned for his absolute perfectionism, including in the UK and the US (Jim Hiddleston, JIM MOTOREN workshop in the Netherlands, available on the Internet). For information, the cylinder was painted silver on the 1958 and 1959 models. The engine, however, was identical to the powerful and very torquey engine fitted to the T110. The raised exhaust line on each side is that of the B series and expresses itself with a bewitching sound. The operation of all the components (engine, gearbox, chassis, electrics, etc.) is perfect. The bike is fitted with a Lucas K2R competition magneto with automatic advance.
I have covered 800 kilometres (500 miles) since the restoration. A complete overhaul has just been carried out (oil change, valve clearance, etc.). The running-in is still to be completed, but is not a constraint, given the total riding pleasure provided by this exceptional model. Finally, the collector's registration document is in my name. As the bike dates from 1958, no technical inspection is required. The asking price, given the rarity of this bike and the exceptional quality of its restoration, has now been set at just €14, 200. Enthusiasts looking for a magnificent presentation and irreproachable operation will appreciate...
