The S-Type represents the natural evolution of the famous MKII: a spacious, luxurious saloon and incredibly effective, notably thanks to its XK engine, whose reputation speaks for itself.
Positioned as a higher-end version of the MKII, it is slightly longer to provide a more generous boot. The ventilation and heating have been redesigned for greater comfort, while the steering and suspension have been revised to offer more precise handling.
A wedding carriage, historic rally car or ideal companion for a Gentleman Driver, the S-Type is capable of it all. And the example we present here adapts with ease to every use.

Our example was purchased on 25/ 04/ 1967 in Paris, from the Delcroix distributor in Paris.
We have a complete service history covering the last ten years, a significant portion of which concerns a full engine restoration carried out at the end of 2024.

The engine is run-in and has been fully rebuilt, as evidenced by the invoice dossier and the complete photo dossier of the operation. Metrology, machining, bore resurfacing and block surfacing were entrusted to a regional professional, ensuring reliability and performance for the legendary 3. 8L XK.
mechanically, the set-up works perfectly: the engine is in excellent health. It starts with ease, without any odd noises or smoke, and the revving is decisive. Tuning is precise and efficient.
The exhaust has been replaced with a stainless steel system, giving a refined, hushed note.
The radiator has been replaced with an aluminium model, and an additional cooling fan has been installed for better cooling.
The 4-speed Jaguar gearbox with Overdrive runs without a hitch. The ratios are smooth, the gear engagement is precise, and the clutch release bearing was replaced in late 2024.
Braking is reassuring, notably thanks to the installation of 4-piston calipers at the front.
The running gear is in good condition and shows no play. The underbody is representative of the car, in excellent presentation condition and free of corrosion.
The chrome wire wheels are presentable and fitted with recent tyres.
The bodywork is superb, the paint shines and shows no notable defects.
Body alignments are excellent.
The chrome trim is brilliantly gleaming.
The original cabin has been perfectly preserved, the seats carry a charming patina that blends beautifully with the wood trim.
The original steering wheel has been replaced with a period-correct Nardi wheel, adding a touch of refinement and authenticity to the interior.
