PTH of 05/ 06/ 2020
PASSEPORTFIVA of 16/ 12/ 2019
Participation in the Tour Auto, Monte Carlo Rally and historic Tour de Corse.
The vehicle has been completely rebuilt and prepared by Ets MURATET in 2019 in accordance with the specifications set at the time by Renault Gordini’s competition department for Group 2 homologation.
A car that was owned by the same owner from 1984 to 2019. Previously registered in 46, we have the old registration document dating from 1982, which leads us to believe it had three owners.
Bodywork: a full restoration was carried out.
As the car is intended for competition, the shell was stripped to fit all reinforcements and specifications for Group 2 homologation.
The roll cage, built to current standards, was made by specialist Jacques Point.
A very high-quality white paint was applied. A livery in the colours of "Radio Monte Carlo" was chosen.
It is in good presentation condition. The doors/ windows open reasonably well. It is equipped with GOTTI alloy wheels (not steel as standard), genuine original fittings for Group 2.
Inside the cabin you will find all the Group 2 specifications:
- Multi-point safety roll cage
- Safety harness
- Bucket seats
- Internal and external fire extinguisher
- Automatic-trigger fire extinguisher complying with FIA standards
- Addition of manometers on the original dashboard
- R12 Break low-capacity fuel tank (homologation change approved by the competition department)
- Twin electric fuel pumps in the boot
- Cadence and radio system (not sold with it)
Mechanical side, the preparation carried out follows the recommendations "Transformation 160 hp RENAULT GORDINI".
The 125 hp Type 807. 20 engine was prepared by MURATET according to the specifications of the original 807-G kit of 1596 cm3.
Notably, head and block work: valve-seat machining after valve modification, combustion chamber modification, head resurfacing, timing kit replacement, installation of forged pistons and rods.
Light alloy valve cover, exhaust manifold, and velocity stacks on the WEBER45 double carburettors are visible.
A DMT dog-ring gearbox was recently fitted to replace the original 5-speed, which has been kept by the owner and is sold with the car.
Front and rear suspension were also revised. The suspension arms have been strengthened according to Gordini’s plan.
Adjustable tracking rods are specific to the Group 2 version.
Front and rear dampers were manufactured specifically for rallying by SAUBEN.
The complete braking system was revised and fitted for rallying (Lorraine carbon type).
A stainless steel exhaust was installed.
The wiring loom has been completely rebuilt.
An appraisal was carried out to judge the quality of the restoration and Group 2 preparation for competition in compliance with the era regulations.
This was validated as meeting the specification with a maximum of authentic parts, which is very rare.
A race-ready car, prepared for competition and eligible for all VHC - VHRS rallies.
