FORD CORTINA MK2 1500GT. Very original, solid engine, back on the road this year after several years stored in a dry barn.
• Overall condition: Extremely good for a 57-year-old vehicle; it runs and drives superbly.
• Bodywork: Totally original with age-related marks, dents and scratches on the body.
• Interior: The seats are firm and comfortable, the dashboard looks the part. There are water stains on the headlining and the carpet is a bit worn and shows its age.
• Mechanical: Excellent oil pressure. The carburettor has been dismantled and cleaned, so the car accelerates smoothly. No problem keeping up with modern traffic. The brakes, dampers and steering joints, etc., have been replaced if necessary.
