Description
Thank you for reading the listing in full.
The Europe‑spec BMW 635 CSI M 5531 designed for left‑hand drive, non‑catalytic, was produced in 3, 283 units from February 1984 to December 1988. In this version, 196 units were sold in France.
Our example is French, dated 14/ 12/ 1987 with an interesting and very well‑preserved history/ file.
You will note that this example is a very rare French version with the main peculiarity of its yellow front lamps.
It was owned by a businessman on 01/ 12/ 1992 (BMW order form from the era to support) of this automotive gem until its disappearance in 2025. We can say that this car is a French third owner, as we also have the buyback certificate from the BMW garage for this car in 1990 at 127, 000 km, as well as a copy of the registration document for its second owner.
The BMW 635 CSI M marked a turning point in the brand’s history and signalled entry into the big leagues with a drivetrain drawn straight from the Supercar 1M. Exceptional performance with 286 hp, a drop‑dead gorgeous silhouette and instantly recognisable. Motorsport was born.
The rest, you’ll no doubt know, with an incredible history and models with all the M variants that followed.
Our example has 189, 355 km. No restoration has been carried out, and it has been very well preserved.
