Description
We have the pleasure of displaying in our showroom a 1970 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 4. 2, a unique model that has been beautifully restored. Imported to the Netherlands in 1990, this car has been pampered and cherished ever since. Its restoration was carried out with passion and exceptional attention to detail by Mr. Henk Janssen, who dedicated more than 10 years and at least 2, 000 hours of work to sublime it.
Mr. Henk Janssen was far more than a mere mechanic: he was a perfectionist and a creative artist. His skill is clearly evident in the bodywork, chassis and interior, each finished with extreme meticulousness. But his true masterstroke lies under the bonnet. All pipework is stainless steel, hand-bent and polished to a brilliant shine. The mounting plates, washers and supports are also artisanally crafted in stainless steel, of superior quality to the original parts. Even the nuts and bolts are stainless steel, some even machined on a prism lathe. An exceptional handcrafted achievement. Following Mr. Janssen’s passing, his daughters entrusted us with the restoration of this Jaguar, immobilised for 10 years, with a view to its sale. We invested over €20, 000 in materials and labour to restore its original look. All works were digitally and in writing documented.
Here are the specifications of this magnificent Jaguar: a 4, 235 cc inline six-cylinder engine developing 246 bhp, three SU HD8 carburettors, a 4-speed manual gearbox, Girling disc brakes with braking assist on all four wheels and new tyres.
We invite you to view the photos. If you are interested, you can book a FaceTime appointment or visit our showroom. We are open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00 and Saturdays by appointment.
