Finished in the original Oxford Blue with Cambridge Blue two-tone factory combination, complemented by a blue leather interior and a blue carpet.
This beautiful MG L2 Magna was originally supplied new in the UK and fully restored in the 1990s to an optimal condition in Belgium. The vehicle’s original British papers are still present, as well as a detailed photo report of the restoration. In 2003, the car changed hands with an MG collector in the Netherlands. This owner maintained the MG with great care; every drive and every service has been meticulously recorded in a logbook.
The much-loved MG L2 is now for sale due to the owner’s advanced age. Over the past few decades, the car has taken part in various club concours d’elegance events and has won several awards. In 1933 and 1934, MG built only 576 examples of the Magna L-type.
The two-seat MG L2 is the rarest factory model, with just 90 produced. The other variants break down as follows: 258 L1 four-seaters, 97 L-type Salonette models, and 100 L-type Continental Coupés. In addition, 31 L-type chassis were delivered to specialist coachbuilders for unique bodywork.
All L-type Magnae are equipped with a 1087 cc straight-six engine and a manual four-speed gearbox. This rare MG L2 is in very good, well-cared-for condition, retaining all original details. The car runs, steers and sounds superbly. An exceptional find and a one-off opportunity for the serious MG collector.
