Finished in the original factory two-tone Oxford blue with Cambridge blue, paired with a blue leather interior and blue carpets.
This magnificent MG L2 Magna was originally delivered new to the United Kingdom and fully restored in the 1990s to optimal condition in Belgium. The vehicle’s original British papers are still present, along with a detailed photo record of the restoration. In 2003, the car passed into the hands of an MG collector in the Netherlands. This owner has maintained the MG with great care; every trip and every service has been carefully logged in a chronicle.
The beloved MG L2 is now for sale due to the owner's advancing age. Over the past decades, the car has participated in various club concours d’élégance and has won several prizes. In 1933 and 1934, MG built only 576 examples of the L-type Magna.
The MG L2 two-seater is the rare factory model, with only 90 units produced. Other variants break down as follows: 258 L1 four-seaters, 97 L-type Salonette models and 100 L-type Continental Coupé. Additionally, 31 L-type chassis were delivered to specialist coachbuilders for unique bodies.
All L-type Magna are equipped with a 1, 087 cc inline six and a four-speed manual gearbox. This rare L2 MG is in very good and well-kept condition, preserving all original detail. The car runs, steers and sounds superb. An exceptional find and a unique opportunity for the MG enthusiast collector.
