Motors Corner is pleased to present for sale this rare Fiat 500 Jolly from 1961, the “economico” model with a distinctive windscreen and specific upholstery; the peculiarity of this Jolly is that it has never been restored, which reinforces its undeniable authenticity.
This Jolly was delivered to Como, Italy in the summer of 1961, becoming a full-fledged member of the family; naturally it followed its owners in 1980 to their new home in Hamburg, before finding its rightful place in a private collection in the same city of Hamburg.
It also benefits from its Fiat Classiche certificate, attesting to its authenticity.
Exterior condition:
This Fiat 500 Jolly presents with open coachwork, a canvas fringed roof, and the typical Ghia finishes.
The red paint shows a beautiful, even patina and the care given throughout its life. The chromes, wheels and body components are in good condition, perfectly in keeping with the vehicle’s age.
Interior condition:
The interior is fitted with original, woven plastic seats specific to its rare “economico” version, also showing wear that lends undeniable charm.
The dashboard and accessories remain fully functional.
Mechanical condition:
The twin-cylinder engine starts at the turn of the key and runs without difficulty, thanks in particular to thorough maintenance throughout its life with no period of immobilisation.
The gearbox, clutch and ancillaries operate normally.
