Exterior/ body: The model presented here is an AUSTIN-HEALEY 3000 MKI BT7 from January 1960 in its period colour “Florida Green 2997/ Ivory 2379.” The bodywork was restored by a specialist several years ago, and on that occasion the car received a full new paintwork consistent with the manufacturer's colour chart of the period. It is still in very good presentation today, showing a uniform shade and excellent gloss. After a professional polish carried out by our workshop with an orbital polisher, we noted minor paint defects on the top of the front wings near the bonnet and in the left-hand corner of the grille. The passenger door edge has a small paint chip. The chromed bumpers and rub strips are in very good condition; we noted a misalignment on the front bumper and a few small traces of oxidation on the ends of the front bumper. All decorative chrome parts are present and in very good condition, except for the slightly oxidised driver’s door handle. Ivory vinyl soft top is in excellent condition and folds down easily. Only the alignment with the windscreen could be better. The seal remains compliant with period standards. The mica rear window is in very good condition. This car is equipped with PVC side-screens in good condition. The tonneau cover in Black is in good condition and easily mounts. H4 (Saturnus) headlamp glass mounts are fitted to the main lenses. The four chromed wire wheels 15” are in excellent condition, with no dings or deformations. They are fitted with VREDESTEIN tyres with 15% wear front and rear. The four chrome knock-off hubs are near new. This specimen retains its original spoked spare wheel, its Knock-off hammer, and its jack. The original Bakelite steering wheel is in very good condition with a uniform patina. The Bakelite gear knob shows no cracks or breaks. Chassis: On a hoist, the chassis and body are confirmed sound, with no visible accident damage or apparent structural corrosion.
