A known vehicle and member of the MG Club de France.
Beautiful March 1967 MG B Roadster, MK1 version, the most sought-after.
It is one of the rare original French examples, sold new by the Kennings importer in the Lyon region. The import plate is still visible near the engine bay. This MG B remained in France and has had only four owners (source Histovec).
This is a first-series, known as MK1, production code GHN3.
It retains its original mechanicals, the 1, 798 cc four-cylinder engine fed by two SU carburettors and developing 94 bhp. This example is fitted with an overdrive, offered as an option from 1963, and it is functional.
Aesthetically the vehicle is in good overall condition, preserved in line with the original apart from the addition of a modern radio.
The bodywork and chrome are in good condition, as is the black vinyl hood. The car has its four original wire wheels. All four tyres are recent.
Inside the upholstery is black faux leather with red piping, recently redone.
Mechanically, the overhaul includes servicing, engine oil change, gearbox, rear axle and braking system, replacement of the alternator, replacement of the fuel tank, fuel gauge, replacement of the clutch actuator and release sensor, and the pressure gauge. The car will undergo an MOT for sale.
The chassis and subframes are sound. They were fully rebuilt and treated by the third owner several years ago.
A car that was successful in its day, the MG B has become one of the most acclaimed models on the classic car market. With reliable mechanics and a fine sporting feel, it is easy to use and affordable to maintain. A safe bet…
Our example stands out for its French origin, very rare, and its authenticity.
The vehicle is stored in a locked garage, sheltered from humidity.
