The Maserati Quattroporte presented here is a bit of a thrill.
Delivered by the Maserati dealership in Saint Cloud on 12. 07. 1967 with a 4. 7 litre/ 290 HP engine in celestial metallic blue, with a black leather interior and red carpets – what a combo!
First registration date: 01. 09. 1967
The order and delivery invoice are available. In 1975 the car was sold in Marseille and driven until 1990, and has not been on the road since.
AM107 was officially registered in 2017 solely for sales purposes in Germany.
This Quattroporte is completely "matching", never crashed, never repainted, and all parts in their original condition. The leather, over 50 years old, has been cleaned and treated – now in fantastic condition. The old woods have been repolished and shine almost like new. The Smith instruments are maintained, all controls and toggle switches checked and the wiring repaired.
The underbody is sanded and sealed with clear wax. We have never seen a vehicle patinated so authentically and deserve such respect.
The mechanicals have been repaired; for example we replaced the fuel pumps, the fuel and brake lines. The braking system has been overhauled, as have the air conditioning compressor, the water pump, and the radiator. All hoses have been replaced, the engine overhauled, the Weber carburettors adjusted and synchronised, the gearbox resealed, and a new clutch fitted.
The hardest decision to make was whether this Maserati should be repainted or not. In the end, we are convinced that the faded solar-lacquer image of the south of France is so fascinating. This sports saloon remains in its original paint, rust-free and with no restoration attempts. Only the driver's door handle has been renewed after a burglary in the 1980s. The chrome is patinated, but not rotten.
A Maserati V8 of such pedigree is unique on the market. Reserved for enthusiasts who truly appreciate a one-of-a-kind vehicle.
