Description
There is a lot more to say about this magnificent Jaguar XK 150 3. 8S OTS from 1958, because it is not an ordinary XK. I fear there are simply too many things to list. For now, here are the main key points:
History:
• Delivery early 1958 to the United States. (1st owner) (VIN: S83****)
• Repatriated to the United Kingdom in the early years of its life.
• Jaguar Coventry replaced the engine with the factory 3. 8 L S engine (VAS 1242-9) and re-registered it accordingly. (See production certificates produced by the Jaguar Heritage Trust)
• 1990: The Southampton-based owner sells the car to France (in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais / 3rd owner)
• 1996: The car is sold to a second French owner still registered as a British car. (4th owner)
• 2000: (March) The 4th owner registers the car in France for the first time.
• 2003: The car is sold to its 5th and final owner before Legendary Classics.
• 2006: The 5th owner undertakes a complete, fully documented chassis restoration, which takes about 5 years.
• 2011: The full chassis restoration is completed by the end of that year.
• The owner enjoys the car for about 10 years and drives it regularly.
• 2021: (June) The decision is made to repaint the car entirely.
• 2022: (September) The 3. 8S engine is fully overhauled.
• 2022: Further additions are made at that time as the car is already partially dismantled:
# Additional engine cooling fan
# Soft top
# Braking systems (Cooper Kraft discs at front and rear)
# 5-speed Getrag gearbox
# Deactivatable power steering
