The Mercedes-Benz 170 VS Roadster is among the elegant pre-war Mercedes convertibles, combining timeless lines with simple, robust mechanics. This model was appreciated for its driving comfort and its elegant appearance, both for tourist drives and classic events.
This 1938 example has previously benefited from a good professional restoration and today presents itself as a neat, authentic car. The bodywork is intact and professionally repainted, the paint is in excellent condition and the underbody is in perfect condition. The interior is neatly restored, the hood has been renewed and upgraded with fabric instead of vinyl, and the carpets are in very good condition. Mechanically, the car is in honest condition, with a few age-related points to note.
