We are pleased to offer this very beautiful Jaguar Type E Series 2 2+2 coupé, factory-built in November 1969.
In this 2+2 configuration, the E-Type retains all the elegance and poise of the model, while offering greater versatility thanks to its four seats. A particularly appealing specification to fully enjoy one of the great icons of British motoring.
Our example underwent a complete body restoration in 2016 by a specialist, carried out in keeping with its original configuration. It now sports its superb Willow Green paint, a period colour that is particularly elegant, which wonderfully enhances the timeless lines of the E-Type.
The interior has also benefited from careful attention, with repaired seat upholstery, dashboard trim and a soft-top renewed in 2021. The other elements, kept to their original specification, are in very good condition and contribute fully to the authenticity and charm of this car.
The Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirms that this car remains in its original configuration, with its Willow Green / Suede Green colour combination, but also with its original engine. A matching-colours and matching-numbers example, which is a real asset.
This E-Type also stands out for a series of upgrades particularly relevant for quality road use. It includes power steering, a three-carburettor SU setup (rare and highly regarded for its driveability and mechanical interest), front brake calipers by Zeus with twin pistons and discs, electronic ignition 123, an alternator as well as an electric cooling fan. These judicious evolutions significantly transform the car’s behavior and usability compared with a standard E-Type.
Always treated with care, the car has undergone regular professional maintenance. Recent work includes routine maintenance, rear disc replacement (requiring full rear suspension removal) and the fitting of four new Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres.
The whole package is accompanied by a complete file of invoices and photographs documenting the restoration and ongoing care of the car.
