This isn’t a Classic like any other. Here is chassis number 1949A, one of the very first ever built. Fully restored by Dutch specialist Range Rover Tophat, it has also benefited from a subtle heart transplant (read: deliciously outrageous).
The original 3. 5-litre Rover V8 has given way to a Corvette LT1 V8 developing around 500 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed Tremec manual gearbox.
Ridiculous? Perhaps.
Incredibly entertaining? Absolutely.
The Range Rover Classic has always been the perfect compromise: half aristocratic estate car, half agricultural tool.
But this one pushes the concept — and speed — to a whole new level. A timeless look, modern reliability and a totally unexpected engine under a noble silhouette.
