Description
Inspected in Switzerland in late May 2025 (veteran vehicle). Black faux-leather interior in very good condition (front seats reupholstered), exterior in very good condition (a few marks) and free from corrosion (original colour (Giallo Positano)). The engine runs perfectly (many parts replaced and components reconditioned since it was purchased in 1993). Braking, suspension and steering systems fully overhauled in early 2025. 3rd owner, with invoices for work carried out since 1993 available.
4-cylinder 903cc engine at the rear and a 4-speed manual gearbox. Despite its “modest” 52 hp, thanks to its low weight (735 kg unladen), this 850 is lively and easy to drive.
Its mechanicals are straightforward, and replacement parts are readily available.
An Abarth-style exhaust has been fitted to replace the original exhaust.
Inside you’ll find a sports steering wheel (original wheel available), a dashboard with wooden inserts and recessed gauges. The triangular front side windows are very effective for bringing in some fresh air.
This 850 was registered in Switzerland in August 1970, so it doesn’t have a seat belt, but there are anchorage points.
Documents (workshop manual, spare parts catalogue, etc.) and a made-to-measure fabric cover are available to buy as options.
It’s currently registered, so it could be driven to its destination if the distance isn’t too great compared with where it’s stored at the moment.
