Founded in 1947 in Blackpool, England, by Trevor Wilkinson, TVR quickly became one of Britain's boldest car manufacturers. Specialising in light and powerful cars, the marque earned a reputation as a craftsman who refuses standardisation. The name “TVR” comes from the three consonants of its founder TreVoR’s forename.
TVR distinguished itself with a radical approach to performance: powerful engines, tubular chassis and fibreglass bodies.
Produced between 1972 and 1979, the TVR 3000 M perfectly embodies this philosophy. It is powered by a Ford ESSEX V6 3. 0-litre engine, developing around 142 horsepower at 5, 000 rpm. Its performance, its engaging handling and its suave design make it a sports car as rare as it is desirable.
