Description
Well, after careful consideration, a three-cylinder Kawa will surely better suit my build and my back will thank me for it.
I’m parting company with my 1972 Yamaha YR5, restored while deliberately preserving its period charm.
35, 500 kilometres, Classic Vehicle registration in my name, MOT certificate valid.
The engine has just been rebuilt (crankshaft work, all bearings, all seals, cylinder re-bore, Wossner pistons and new rings, gearbox checked, etc.).
The bike has covered less than 100 kilometres since the engine was reinstalled in the frame, so bedding-in is in progress.
New parts: regulator, K82 tyres and inner tubes, front and rear brakes, headlight brackets, tachometer and brake cables, air filter, battery, plugs and suppressors, all hoses, Yamaha indicator caps, etc.
Two exhausts in superb condition have just been fitted.
In short, €2, 600 of recent invoices that will be transferred to the buyer.
Options: A superb Tomaselli multi-position handlebars, two KONI shock absorbers, a steering damper.
The chrome is in very good condition, all wiring is functional.
I am including with the motorcycle: two exhausts, the original engine covers, a gearbox, four pistons of which two are new with rings in Yamaha original size, an oil pump, ignition parts, two cylinders, etc.
And the workshop manual, the spare-parts list, the Haynes manual and a whole stack of period magazines with tests of this bike.
Bike visible in Sarthe (25 km north of Le Mans), I have just retired so I am available for any appointment.
Price for the lot: €5, 000.
