The perfect balance between a fantastic sports car and comfortable everyday driving! History The 997 Turbo was unveiled at the same time as the Porsche 911 GT3 at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show. Produced in more than 15, 000 examples (15, 626 to be precise), the 997 Turbo won over the public in a big way. Even today, the model ages extremely well, both in terms of its lines and its driving pleasure. Aesthetically, the Porsche 911 Type 997 Turbo adopts the width of the four-wheel-drive variants, i. e. 44 mm wider. It also features, among other things, a front bumper, side air intakes and a specific rear spoiler. Its aluminium doors and boot benefited the 997 Turbo phase 1, which sees its weight drop by 5 kg compared with the 996 Turbo, reaching 1, 585 kg. The engine and the chassis are no exception and mark a major step forward compared with its predecessor.
