Description
This is a Mercedes 230 W 143 Cabriolet B with right-hand drive.
This is a rare Mercedes with right-hand drive, delivered in February 1938 to London. The car was then exported to the United States, where it remained for many years. In the late 1990s, it was brought back from San Francisco to Belgium. Between 2000 and 2017, it was completely dismantled and then fully restored. The wooden parts that needed replacing were replaced.
The engine and chassis bear matching numbers.
Since 2017, the car has been regularly used for touring circuits as well as for a few film shoots.
It starts, shifts through the gears and drives perfectly. The electrics still work on the original 6-volt system, with no issues whatsoever.
It is also fitted with the original carburettor, wheels, etc.
