Description
L’Atelier des 1000 is delighted to offer for sale this Porsche 930 3. 3 Turbo Cabriolet G50 in a unique specification commissioned by the Exclusive Manufaktur department as a Show-car to showcase the marque’s expertise in bespoke preparation. It combines a special-order Satin Schwarz Metallic exterior paint with an exclusive Lilac leather interior; in total, no fewer than 8 specific options equip this uncommon 930, which is more than that fitted with an optional-from-standard electric soft top. An absolute icon of the 1980s, the Porsche 930 Turbo Cabriolet was produced from 1987 and only received the 5-speed G50 manual gearbox in its final year of production, 1989—transforming its character and making it more usable, more capable and easier to manage. With fewer than 250 examples sold in Europe, this final version remains an absolute rarity and is particularly prized by collectors. It has appeared in numerous press articles such as Flat 6 or Auto Rétro, and even has the luxury of featuring in Porsche’s official commercial documentation in 1989! Matching Numbers and Matching Colors, it has been rigorously maintained within its original dealership until 1995, before being registered for the first time in Alsace in 1996, showing then 69, 650 km. It will change owners three times before, in 2020, joining the collection of its last owner, a famous French actor, further reinforcing the vehicle’s unique character. This 3. 3 comes with a substantial maintenance invoice file covering the last twenty years, as well as its original service booklet, stamped without interruption from 1989 to today. It even went to Porsche Classic in 2026 for a full check-up, which revealed no particular anomalies. Very well specified, it is fitted in particular with the following options: Extended leather interior Porsche logo steering wheel Exclusive “Lilac” leather interior Black piping G50 gearbox Power seats with heating Air conditioning (to overhaul/ recharge) 6-speaker audio system Electric soft top Exterior colour Satin Black Metallic Tinted windscreen with gradient band Velour carpet in the front luggage compartment 40% locking differential Powered by the 3. 3-litre Flat 6 turbocharged unit producing 300 hp, created by Hans Mezger, it perfectly captures the brutal yet exhilarating nature of the model. The KKK turbo spools up from 3, 500 rpm, propelling the car with extraordinary vigour, while preserving the quality of finish and comfort worthy of the best GTs of its era. Mechanically, the engine starts without difficulty and delivers all its power with the typical Flat 6 Turbo sound, enhanced by a stainless-steel twin-exit exhaust line, offering a raw and captivating note. Maintenance has been carried out for sale. The 5-speed G50 gearbox offers smooth gear changes and precise guidance, while the clutch does its job perfectly with no sign of wear. The steering and suspension geometry ensure a healthy road-holding feel, while the suspension guarantees excellent connection to the ground. The underbody is in perfect condition—of course free from corrosion and consistent with the car’s overall condition. The braking is powerful and well balanced. The Fuchs wheels look superb and are shod with tyres in very good condition. The bodywork is in excellent presentation. The paint, recently refreshed a few years ago, retains all its lustre. Exterior trim and plastics are also very well preserved, reflecting careful ownership. The extended Lilac leather interior is in excellent condition, showing only a very light, evenly matched patina. The steering wheel shows a few signs of wear; we therefore contacted a tannery to produce a bespoke sample of the original leather, making it possible to consider restoring it for anyone who would like to. The black alpaca soft top and the soft-top cover are in excellent condition, and the electrical system is perfectly functional. Given the rarity and exclusive configuration of this car, we are asking €180, 000.
