Description
Fancy driving something different from your mates and neighbours who are all driving Ami 6s, Dauphines, R8s, Minis or Simca 1000s and the like? Then take a look at this magnificent 1965 OPEL Kadett Type A from the first generation. Built in Belgium in 1965 and it has only 61, 000 original kilometres on the clock! Its little 1000cc engine with its fully synchronised 4-speed gearbox and floor-mounted lever can get you up to 125 km/ h and it only drinks 6-7 litres per 100km!
Luxe model with metallic light blue paint that was fitted exclusively in Belgium by GM Antwerp (there was no metallic paint on the German versions). New custom-made blue carpet, small dashboard clock, brand new chrome bumpers and a respray done a few years ago, plus a stunning black and white Skai interior in good condition and its remarkable linear speedometer that changes colour with speed – green up to 50, orange up to 100 and then red. It's surprising but absolutely lovely when you're driving! Door panels matching the car's blue colour with a small Opel logo integrated into the white.
It has all its badges and not a trace of corrosion on the vehicle.
New parts: 6-volt battery, all 4 tyres and inner tubes, front and rear brakes, steering track rod.
I'm including with the car: a front bonnet, a complete rear axle, a fuel tank, lights, carburettor and a few other parts.
The vehicle is in Belgium between Namur and Liège and passed its MOT in April 2026.
If you fancy driving something different with a lovely little reliable and economical vehicle, come and see it!
