Description
Among the most iconic Italian coupés of the 1960s, the Giulia Sprint GT Veloce shines through its sporting heritage. From its launch, it made waves in competition: as the basis for the celebrated GTA, it helped Alfa Romeo secure multiple European Touring Car Championship titles, thanks to its lightweight construction, precision handling and twin-cam engine. A true gentleman driver's car, equally at home on the road as on the track.
The Alfa Romeo GT Veloce for sale that we present here is a living tribute to that spirit. Restored between 2021 and 2024 by expert hands, it combines aesthetic authenticity with contemporary performance.
Externally, its bodywork has been returned to its original Bianco Spino colour, subtly aged to give it a patinated finish reminiscent of the finest Alfa collection cars. The restoration was entrusted to a respected Normandy panel beater renowned for his meticulous craftsmanship.
Under the bonnet, the magic happens. The engine has been entirely prepared by Salvatore Zingale, a respected figure in Italian mechanics, celebrated for his high-performance and reliable Alfa engines. This 2. 0L block delivers approximately 160 horsepower, with smooth behaviour in town, spirited on country roads and perfectly at ease on the motorway.
The mechanics are complemented by a close-ratio 5-speed gearbox, a limited-slip differential, Alfaholics suspension and brakes, a Migal stainless steel spaghetti manifold, and period Weber carburettors rebuilt to new condition by B2H.
Inside, everything has remained original, in exceptional condition. 3-spoke GTA steering wheel, semi-bucket seats specific to the Veloce version, instrumentation graduated to 8000 rpm… everything breathes authenticity and good taste.
Produced in only 14, 240 examples, the Sprint GT Veloce is already a coveted model. This one, with its Zingale-signed engine, full stock configuration and serious restoration, represents a rare opportunity for those seeking a true Alfa with character, ready to drive.
