It spent two decades in the same family in Loire-Atlantique, registered in the 44 department since 1996, with all service invoices retained.
In September 2016, a collector from the Yvelines purchased it and undertook a complete restoration lasting four years, for approximately €28, 700 documented item by item: full respray in Scarab Brown, leather interior refurbished, engine rebuilt with proven cylinder heads and new valves, air conditioning overhauled with a more reliable system, stainless steel sills, exhaust, spheres and LHM accumulator, radiators, starter motor, ignition.
In September 2020, independent inspection by Classic Auto Expertise: vehicle in very good condition, four stars, valued at €75, 000. The report notes unmarked new paintwork, engine and braking system freshly restored, new radiator and hoses, new exhaust, and four Michelin XWX tyres with only 5% wear.
Since then, it has not been left idle. Over €5, 500 in workshop maintenance: hydraulic circuit and braking system overhaul in March 2023, full detailing the same month, electrical system refurbishment in January 2024 with new alternator and custom charge harness, then service in March 2024 with three-carburettor synchronisation and front-end geometry.
Mileage is consistent over ten years of records: 76, 469 km in 2016, 76, 881 at the 2020 inspection, 79, 324 at the 2022 MOT, 80, 880 in March 2024. Less than 900 km per year since restoration. A ** that runs just enough to stay in good health.
