THE 911 SPEEDSTER
The Porsche 911 Speedster hardly needs introduction. Based on the ultimate evolution of the Type 930, the 1989 Speedster was offered in two distinct configurations, with the narrow-body version being by far the rarest. Porsche produced only 161 examples with the standard Carrera bodywork, making this version one of the rarest derivatives of the G Series.
THIS 911 SPEEDSTER
This matching-numbers 1989 Porsche 911 Speedster was delivered new in Sweden in the C05 market specification. Presented in the exceptional colour combination of Apricot Beige with a brown Speedster hood and an interior entirely trimmed in Mahogany Brown leather, it would be, according to available documentation, one of the very rare narrow-body examples produced in this configuration.
The specification includes 16-inch Fuchs alloy wheels shod with Pirelli P Zero tyres, original electrically adjustable and heated seats, a 40% limited-slip differential and the short gear lever for the G50 gearbox.
The car's early years are poorly documented. In 2003, it moved to Italy, where it was subsequently maintained by Porsche specialists. Its Belgian history began in 2013, when it was acquired by its current owner. Since then, the car has been exceptionally little used, covering just over 2, 000 km over the past ten years.
In November 2025, the car underwent a comprehensive service in our workshop, including replacement of all fluids and filters. It also successfully passed a 111-point Porsche Classic inspection and received professional cosmetic preparation, including the application of a new protective wax.
The Speedster remains remarkably original and well preserved. The original VIN sticker on the front bonnet, factory identification stickers and plaques are still present, whilst the original carpets are in particularly fine condition. The factory-applied underbody corrosion protection is also still clearly visible.
Paint thickness measurements confirm a quality respray, with no evidence of excessive filler or accident-related repairs. The paintwork today displays excellent gloss and uniform depth, whilst the preserved original elements and underbody protection contribute to a particularly authentic presentation.
With its matching-numbers engine, rare narrow-body configuration, unusual original colour combination and exceptionally limited use in recent years, this Speedster represents a particularly interesting example of the final generation of 911 Speedster.
The car is accompanied by its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and is currently registered in Belgium.
