The car has undergone a thorough restoration, carried out over several months, involving the removal of numerous mechanical and interior components, overhaul of the chassis and running gear, complete rebuild of the V6 engine and full professional respray.
The important point: this is not simply a cosmetic refresh. The project began with the engine before extending to the entire vehicle. The restoration is documented by a detailed photographic record and will be provided with the car.

A RESTORATION THAT GOES FAR BEYOND SIMPLE MAINTENANCE
• V6 completely removed, stripped down, inspected and rebuilt: bearings, gaskets and consumables replaced, thorough cleaning and ultrasonic cleaning of several components, inspection of the engine block and cylinder heads, reassembly and full timing chain inspection.
• Work carried out with the support of an experienced professional in automotive mechanics and restoration.
• Brake system overhauled: discs, hoses and necessary components replaced; calipers completely refurbished, with front calipers refinished.
• New suspension and complete overhaul of the running gear.
• Running gear components treated against corrosion.
• Subframes renovated: oxidation cleaned, repaired/ prepared, epoxy primed then painted and finished.
• Bodywork attended to, notably the right rear wing, then complete professional respray to achieve uniform colour.
• Interior completely refurbished: upholstery cleaned and treated, soft-touch plastics renovated/ repainted, headlining and pillars completely renewed.
• New radiator, fluids replaced and wheel alignment performed.
Regarding the engine: I prefer to speak of a "V6 completely stripped down, inspected and rebuilt" rather than a "new engine" in the strict sense. The engine retains its original block, but the work undertaken represents a thorough reconstruction.
THE PROJECT HISTORY
The Avantime was purchased on 30 May 2025, listed as non-running at the time. Following inspection and installation of a new battery, the engine started immediately. The initial project was intended to focus mainly on the engine; it gradually evolved into a complete restoration: mechanical systems, running gear, braking, chassis protection, bodywork, paint and interior.
The restoration was completed in August 2026. All major stages have been photographed and compiled in a restoration file that accompanies the car.
