Description
I am reluctantly selling my Citroën ** due to a property development project. The car was bought new by a physiotherapist from Montmédy in July 1971. It was then bought by a garage owner from Meix-le-Tige in September 2009 with the intention of restoring it for himself, the ** being his dream car. Unfortunately, he was unable to begin the work due to health problems, and I bought the **. I am therefore technically the third owner, but in practice I am the second driver. I have all the sales invoices, including the original 1971 purchase invoice, which is laminated. I also have the original French number plates, along with a copy of the original registration certificate. After researching to find a reliable and competent specialist, we entrusted the ** to Valenti Automobili, a Ferrari and Maserati specialist in Ittre, in 2022. The engine was completely rebuilt there, and many other mechanical and hydraulic components were replaced. Since 2022, I have invoices totalling over €33, 000. I approached the restoration of this car by trying to preserve its original character and condition, and by favouring durable repairs to ensure long-term reliability, as my initial idea was to keep this car for a long time. The bodywork is in its original condition, with no retouching carried out; it is the only element I chose not to restore. It has a few stone chips and scratches. It was optionally fitted with black leather and air conditioning. The air conditioning has been disabled for reliability reasons, but a competent garage can bring it back into service by making the necessary modifications. The car has been kept in ideal conditions. This ** now only needs a passionate driver to share the joy of driving it.
