Our Mercedes-Benz 230 SL W113 was first registered in France on 13 March 1966. It has covered 132, 741 km and has had four owners, the latest of whom has owned it for 24 years.
Finished in grey with a brown interior, this 230 SL has an elegant specification. The bodywork is in excellent condition, with a full quality repaint carried out in 2013, no sign of corrosion and very good chrome. The original interior is clean and particularly well preserved, with a lovely patina of use. The hood is also in very good condition. The instrument panel and mechanicals work perfectly.
The Mercedes-Benz 230 SL belongs to the W113 generation, nicknamed the 'Pagoda' because of the concave shape of its hard-top. Introduced in 1963, it succeeded the 190 SL and 300 SL Roadster, combining elegant styling with a focus on comfort and safety. Its 2. 3-litre straight-six produces 150 bhp, sent to the rear wheels through a manual gearbox. When new, the 230 SL could reach 200 km/ h, a remarkable performance for a roadster of its era.
