Hello, I'm selling my genuine 1980 BMW M535i E12 as I'm changing projects (BMW 2002, 2002 vhc). It's one of the legendary, iconic cars from the propeller marque. 1, 410 built, 960 of them left-hand drive. This one has chassis number 4145007 and is the seventh built! It's a French-spec car, bought new in the Landes. I've had the car in my possession for over two years. It shows a "little" 375, 500 km, which has barely moved on. I have the full history of the car since new. There's plenty to tell. It would be best to discuss it over the phone if you're genuinely interested! I'll stick to the essentials on the positives and negatives. Car in good condition for its age and mileage. Reverse-gate 5-speed sport gearbox plus limited-slip diff. Interior in very good condition. No cracks in the dashboard. Recaro seats in good condition despite slight seam splits in the usual places (45 years old, Granny...). Three-spoke steering wheel from the M1. 15" Rial Mesh wheels fully refurbished (BBS Mahle 15" wheels, as shown in some photos, are also available). Chassis fully restored by a bodyshop (invoice available). Rear wings too, with the inner wing lip cut back (invoice also available). Bilstein B6 sport suspension with H&R springs. Stainless steel silencer made to measure. New Supersprint manifold. New brake pads. New ignition system (Delco, distributor cap, performance ignition loom, TDC sensor etc.). New fuel pump, new fuel filter etc. Adjustable Wiechers anti-roll bars front and rear. I'm sure I've forgotten some... So in short, here are the positives. Regarding the negatives: as explained above, the car is in good condition! However, there is early rust at the windscreen seal. Lacquer is flaking at the windscreen seal. A small rust spot on the front left wing, plus a scratch on the front left. In short, a 45-year-old car that might benefit from a full respray for someone who likes things perfect! I must stress that the car presents very well! The photos speak for themselves. Late 1990s to early 2000s, the car belonged to Garage Delage Sport... The M90 engine was swapped for an M30B34, probably from an E28 M535i, so unfortunately it's no longer the original engine... however, the engine runs very strongly. I should point out that the fitted engine has the same DIN and fiscal horsepower. Intermediate stainless exhaust section needs attention, made in the 2000s, no leaks! But it may lightly rub in places... To recap, a 45-year-old car in a lovely state of presentation. I've covered the car in broad strokes. There's still a lot to tell.
