The Appeal
With its soul-satisfying rumble from the torquey air-cooled Evolution V Twin and typically Harley Davidson unruffled vibe, the XL1200 Sportster is, quite frankly, one heck of a bike. This 2011 example adds the Custom pack, plus a large number of genuine Harley accessories to its appeal.
It is also an extremely low-mileage bike that is reported to have covered just 11,020 km from new. The current keeper has owned it for many years, importing it from the UK in 2016 and ensuring that it is always garaged. That likely explains why the black paintwork, with its silver pinstripes, is in such good condition. The same goes for the bright chromework and black saddles. The switchgear and Custom features and accessories, such as the footrests and grips, appear barely used. The vendor describes the bike as ‘perfect.’
Despite the sparing use, it has been well maintained. It comes to market with a recent service that included drive belts, engine fluid, air and oil filters. The Controle Technique is valid until February 2028. A fine example of an equally impressive bike.
