Description
After the saga of the famous E9 3. 0 CS and CSi (“CS” for Coupé Sport and “I” for injection), BMW replaced this model with the 6 Series after the appearance of the “Neue Klasse” which involved giving a number so the public could clearly differentiate their models (at the time 3, 5, 6 and 7).
It is in the mid-70s that the 6 Series E24 first appeared, the initial version of the 6 Series.
It was first sold as 633 CSi and 630 CS, later becoming 635 CSi and 628 CSi during its production run.
It was replaced in 1989 by the BMW E31, the first 8 Series offered by BMW.
NYC’s/ OXOTO is putting up for sale a magnificent example delivered new in June 1985, in blue (Cosmosblau metallic), blue fabric interior (a stunning and rare colour combination) with under 193, 500 km on the clock. We do not have the full traceability of this BMW’s life, but we do have a large amount of documents (maintenance invoices and numerous technical inspection reports) from the last two decades. It is a 6 Series that, according to our information, remained German, still with German registration.
The bodywork is really quite pristine, aside from a few tiny paint bubbles on the right rear wing (very fine and barely visible); we have found no faults! The entire body is in excellent condition, no dents, no scratches and no corrosion.
The chromework is equally immaculate and shows no signs of corrosion.
As for the interior, it is also in very good condition! Although the seats are fabric, there is not a single tear, only a very fine wear on the flank of the driver's seat, but it is very light. All seats, dashboard, central console, headlining, steering wheel, inner doors, and the carpets are in excellent condition! Just a minor wear mark on the right door pillar near the belt line.
Everything also functions, including the radio, electric windows, and climate control (hot/ cold).
In terms of mechanics, it is really in good order, nothing to be planned. It runs very well, starts without issue, its handling is straight, it brakes well too, gear shifts are smooth, in short, clearly a car that has been looked after for years.
The last technical inspection dates from May 2024 and mentions no issues.
The car has a 5-speed manual gearbox and the following options: 3-spoke sport steering wheel, BBS wheels, electric windows (these are still the original windows!), a spare wheel, the full toolkit, …
We also have a duplicate set of original keys.
A ramp is available at our facilities to show you the underside of the vehicle.
