Frogeye replica / Tifosi Rana. Registered at DVLA as a Tifosi Rana and as a classic car (road tax - free). I have not applied for MOT free status BUT there is no reason why it would not qualify as the base car is still original spec. The original car was a 1500cc MG Midget from 1976 which had a heritage body shell fitted in the very late 1990's. No rust and never welded body. The rear Tifosi body was improved by fitting the body section around the original cockpit, thus allowing use of the excellent Midget hood and mechanism. The hood is top quality double duck material and in very good condition/ clear rear window. The flip front has been altered to mimic a Geoff Healey Le Man Sprite front to give better engine bay access. The car took me 3 years to build, completed in 2015. There are too many items to fully list here. In Brief: Alloy radiator, Silicon hoses, 5 speed ford gear box with up rated first ratio, negative camber front wishbones, MX5 seats, Digital speedo and rev counter, custom dash board, 4 alloy wheels (no spare carried) new wiring loom, new brake system through out, twin HIF carbs, Ford 'no distributor' ignition, telesopic dampers all round and more....... The car has given hours of pleasure to us and everyone who sees it (makes people smile, Frogeye effect).
