Descrizione
This Maserati is only the seventh example of this model built. Delivered new in Switzerland, the car has been with the same family since 1971! After encountering a number of injection problems the engine was finally converted to a set up of three Weber DCOE carburetors. But the original (and unrestored) injection parts are still with the car, should a new owner wish to revert the engine to the original specifications. After a partial coachwork restoration in 1989, the owner decided, ten years later, to invest in a full scale restoration which, due to some unforeseen circumstances could only be completed in 2010. This major project included a complete overhaul/ restoration of not only the coachwork, the fabric top and the interior, but also the engine, gearbox, axles, suspensions, brakes etc. All maintenance and restoration documentation since 1971 is with the car! This rare Cabriolet (only 46 examples were equipped with the 3. 7 litre engine) is in very good condition with the last Swiss MOT (incl. veteran status) completed in May 2014.
