For those of you who know what an LLE is then you can skip to the next paragraph. An LLE is a Limited Last Edition this being the final production run of this model of transporter. All individually numbered with mine in particular being number 2340. 1250 were produced in red and 1250 were produced in Orly blue. Engine options were the 2. 1 Petrol or the 1. 6TD, this bus is the later of the two and boasts an enormous 1. 6TD engine.
I know the individual number of my bus as I made sure of this before I purchased it. I contacted the very helpful and knowledgeable experts who look after the LLE Kartei, (look this up in google) they confirmed my VIN Chassis number as an LLE and knew of the owner who had it in Germany.
This one has covered around 314k kilometres (196k Miles) in the last 26 years.
The engine in my bus is the 1. 6TD this one was replaced a few years back and has only covered approx 8500km since. It doesn’t smoke and runs as nice as an 80’s diesel can. It is not fast and its cruising speed is around 60mph. This is the kind of vehicle you want if you want to drive in a chilled out manner and in no rush.
The body work is in good condition for its age, having been re-sprayed before leaving Germany around 6 years ago. It shows very little seam rash. The rear passenger seam behind the bumper is the only area that will need looking at with regards the seams. The passenger side windscreen lower corner shows some of the usual rust coming through but nothing too bad and certainly not an MOT issue. For last year's MOT the driver’s side seatbelt panel was replaced with receipts to prove this.
The interior is in is original condition as shown in the photos, however there are some signs of wear to some of the seat material likely on a van of such age and use, I would say it is presentable but not perfect. It comes with the original multivan curtains which are in good condition as well.
In the last 4 years or 10000 kilometres nearly all of the major engine components have been changed. It drives nicely, changes gear as it should.
If you are unsure of how valuable this buses can be take a look on autoscout24 website and look at some of the same type of van being sold in Germany. Mine is better than the cheapest one for sale on there and remember only 2500 of these were ever made.
Since owning the bus I have serviced it, oil and filter changed / air and fuel filters. I've replaced the coolant and I have fitted a DAB stereo and Toad Ai606 Alarm system. I have also changed the diesel leak off pipes as one of them started to leak slightly.
Lots of receipts come with the vehicle, all details on what has been done to the van whilst in the UK including £1000’s spent on engine work. Some details shown below for major components which have been replaced. I have organised all of the the receipts in a file ready for the new owner.
For this years MOT I had to replace the PAS steering hoses from the rear to the front and the fittings to the steering rack, I adjusted the PAS and alternator belts and replaced the rear brake shoes & Wiper blades. I also replaced the PAS steering rack mounts to the body with the Powerflex polyurethane bushes.

Ok so why am I selling it? To answer this honestly I am torn between selling or keeping this bus but I am way too precious over it which frankly stops me from enjoying it as I should. I hardly drive for fear of damage and I don't like leaving it out of my view. So for my own sanity it has to go! I would prefer that it goes to someone who can truly enjoy this vehicle as an enthusiast. I also have another classic audi project which I want to get finished.
